Just across the water from Mobile, Alabama, the Eastern Shore area of Baldwin County is thriving and growing faster than just about any other area in the state. Eastern Shore is a large community that is actually comprised of several smaller ones. The cities of Fairhope, Daphne, and Spanish Fort all sit along the northeast shore of Mobile Bay and have become increasingly popular over the past few years. These cities offer some of the best schools in the state, particularly those in Fairhope. More people are paying attention to this area when looking for a commercial property to buy where they can open up a business or when choosing the best place to settle down and buy a home.
Life in Eastern Shore is all about the outdoors. Fishing in Mobile Bay (especially during a jubilee), playing a round of golf at one of the numerous area golf courses, heading up to the Blakely Forest State Park to go hiking and camping, or taking a quick day trip down to the beach are favorite local pastimes. Eastern Shore is conveniently located to the airports in both Mobile and Pensacola, Florida, which are both only about an hour away from Fairhope. The coastal communities of Orange Beach and Gulf Shores are less than one hour south and easily reached using the recently completed Baldwin Beach Express.
